Closure and Detour Set on 38th Street W

Construction of the stormwater diversion channel portion of the comprehensive FM Area Diversion project will close a portion of 38^th Street W on September 18, 2025. The closure is one mile south of I-94 and includes the intersection of 38^th ST SE and 38^th ST W.

This closure is to allow for work necessary to open the newly aligned 38^th Street roadway, which will allow traffic to cross over the stormwater diversion channel. The closure is expected to last one month, although that may fluctuate if weather impacts construction activities.

A detour route utilizing County Road 15/165^th Avenue SE and Interstate 94 will be clearly marked.

Motorists are asked to remain alert in this area and to allow extra time for travel through the detour.
