Controlled Burn Planned

A controlled burn is planned within the stormwater diversion channel right of way southwest of Harwood beginning at approximately 8:30 am Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The pile to be burned is located west of County Road 17 N and north of 40th Avenue NW.

The burn will follow all applicable environmental and safety precautions, aiming to minimize environmental impacts and ensure public safety.

 

During the burn, the public may see smoke rising from that area. The burn has been coordinated with local fire departments, and we are committed to keeping disruptions to the public as minimal as possible.
