Controlled Burn

ByTara Ekren /

As construction continues within the stormwater diversion channel portion of the FM Area Diversion project, ASN Constructors is planning a controlled burn of old straw bales.

The controlled burn is beginning this morning, September 17, and will continue throughout the day. The controlled burn will follow all applicable environmental and safety precautions, aiming to minimize environmental impacts and ensure public safety.

The pile of straw bales is located on the western side of the channel right of way, just north of 38th St SE and west of 38th St W, West Fargo.

For safety, ASN Constructors and their subcontractor have coordinated this controlled burn with local fire departments to ensure safe burning conditions.

The public may notice visible smoke in the area during the controlled burn. ASN Constructors is committed to keeping disruptions to the public as minimal as possible and appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation.
