County Road 10 Crossing Open to Traffic

ByTara Ekren /

Red River Valley Alliance is pleased to announce the opening of the County Road 10 crossing over the stormwater diversion channel, a portion of the larger, FM Area Diversion project.

Located between Mapleton and West Fargo, North Dakota, construction on the CR 10 crossing began in December 2023, with traffic utilizing bypass lanes throughout bridge construction. Now that this crossing is open, the removal of the bypass lanes will begin in the near future.

This bridge measures 410.5 feet in length, includes 18 girders each measuring 136 feet long, and features a pedestrian/bike lane on the south side. The crossing’s opening marks yet another milestone in the construction of the stormwater diversion channel and associated infrastructure portion of the FM Area Diversion project. Work on the crossing was completed by ASN Constructors and subcontractor Industrial Builders, Inc.
