County Road 20 Crossing Open to Traffic

ByTara Ekren /

Red River Valley Alliance is excited to announce the opening of the County Road 20 crossing over the stormwater diversion channel, a portion of the larger, FM Area Diversion project. The bridge fully opened to traffic July 1, 2025.

Located on the northwest edge of Fargo, construction on the CR 20 bridge began in March 2024. The bridge features a pedestrian/bike lane on the south side of the bridge. With the opening of this bridge, the removal of the bypass lanes will begin in the near future.

This bridge, the third to open, marks yet another milestone in the construction of the stormwater diversion channel and associated infrastructure portion of the FM Area Diversion project. Work on the bridge was completed by ASN Constructors and subcontractor Industrial Builders, Inc.
