County Road 81 Closure

ByTara Ekren /

As part of the ongoing construction of the stormwater diversion channel portion of the FM Area Diversion project, a section of County Road 81, between Harwood, N.D. and Argusville, N.D., will be closed to traffic starting June 1, 2026. The closure will begin at County Road 22 in Harwood and end at County Road 4 in Argusville. Traffic will be detoured around the closure via Interstate 29.

During this closure, ASN Constructors will be paving the roadway approaches on each end of the new crossing constructed over the stormwater diversion channel.

The closure is expected to last up to four weeks, depending on weather conditions.

Motorists are asked to allow extra time to navigate the detour and remain alert to changing travel patterns.
