Red River Valley Alliance and ASN Constructors’ work on the stormwater diversion channel was recently recognized as a finalist for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe’s PPP and Infrastructure Award.

A jury of top international infrastructure experts selected the project as one of the top five out of 61 projects reviewed. Our project was the only one from the United States to be recognized and stood out for it’s innovative approach to climate change adaptation, environmental stewardship and integrating technology into the design of sustainable infrastructure.

As a top five finalist, RRVA was invited to present the project at the 9th UNECE International Public-Private Partnerships Forum in Belgrade, Serbia. In front of a global audience representing international organizations, civil society, private sector and academia – all who were gathered to present their PPP work in support of the sustainable development goals and to foster dialog and collaboration.
The work by ASN Constructors on the stormwater diversion channel includes several resilience goals around water management, waste and materials management, energy management, noise and vibration and public and stakeholder engagement.
