GIVING THE RED RIVER BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
The Red River Valley Alliance (RRVA) is responsible for developing, designing, constructing, operating and maintaining a portion of the Fargo-Moorhead Area Diversion project. This includes construction of the diversion channel and the associated infrastructure including bridges, railway crossings and aqueducts, plus operation and maintenance for 30 years. The FM Area Diversion is the first public-private partnership (P3) for flood protection in North America.
